2006 Alma Terra Syrah

“Dark, tannic, with good grip and an underlying earthy character. The fruit leans just a little toward raisiny/pruney, but you could also say balsamic. The wine has a European character—ripe but not sweet or jammy, with nuanced streaks of caramel, coffee and baking chocolate.” 3/1/2010
